MOLLY LOVEDAY

Flora’s Daughter is a multi-media work created by Boston-based artist Molly Loveday, featuring illustrated paintings as well as hand-crafted floral installations made of paper. While the name of the body of work is first an homage to Molly’s mother, Maryann, and her grandmother, Flora – it also represents “one born of the Roman goddess Flora, overseer of the world of flowers and the season of Spring.” The self-taught artist draws on subjects and colors found in the natural world and pairs them with the whimsy of her imagination to create fun, delicate, and unusual works of art.
