Harissa and Tomato Pork Chop
This dish is a perfect quick and simple way to make dinner with very few ingredients. I like to keep some frozen pork chops at all times and some canned tomatoes. While you thaw the pork chop you can make the sauce.

This dish is a perfect quick and simple way to make dinner with very few ingredients. I like to keep some frozen pork chops at all times and some canned tomatoes. While you thaw the pork chop you can make the sauce.
Ingredients
1 large bone-in pork chop
1 can whole or diced tomatoes
1 medium onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, chopped
-
Paprika
-
Izak N37
-
Olive oil
-
Salt
Directions
Heat a bit of olive oil in a pan and cook the onions with some salt for about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and about 1 tablespoon of paprika and cook for one minute.
Add the canned tomatoes and cook for about 15 minutes on medium low heat to obtain a nice thick tomato sauce.
In the meantime, season the pork chop with some salt and Izak spice and sear in another pan with some olive oil for about 4 minutes on each side. Remove the pork chop from the pan and set aside on a plate.
Let the meat rest for about 5 minutes. Make sure to keep the pan you used to cook the pork.
Adjust the seasoning of the shakshuka sauce. Heat the pan used to cook the pork and add a touch of olive oil. Add the pork chop and cook for one 30 seconds to one minute on each side. Remove the pork from the pan, slice, and serve with the hot shakshuka sauce.
Recipe Note

Variations & Ideas:
- Add 1/3 cup of chopped cilantro and 1/3 cup of chopped pitted black olives to the sauce.
- Sear a fillet of salmon or snapper with salt and izak and serve with this same sauce.
